Steven J. Charous, M.D., Director Dr. Steven J. Charous, M.D. is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Chicago Voice Center at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center, and an attending at Evanston and Glenbrook Hospitals. Dr. Charous subspecializes in the diagnosis, treatment and surgery of voice disorders. He is actively involved in medical teaching and in the clinical and research aspects of voice disorders. A board-certified otolaryngologist, Dr. Charous received his otolaryngology training and then completed a fellowship in laryngology and voice disorders at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign, Il. Gail B. Kempster, Ph.D., CCC-SLP Dr. Gail B. Kempster is associate professor of communication disorders and sciences at Rush University with a conjoint appointment in otolaryngology. Dr. Kempster received a bachelor's degree in speech-pathology/psychology and english from Valparaiso University, a master's degree in speech pathology from Purdue University, and a Ph.D. in speech-language pathology from Northwestern University. Dr. Kempster's primary academic and clinical interests are in voice production and voice disorders, including care of the professional voice. David D. Caldarelli, M.D. David D. Caldarelli, M.D. has been Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology and Director of the Otolaryngology Residency Program since 1974. He is responsible for all professional and administrative activities within the department and for the quality of patient care and other services provided by members of the department. Additionally, he is responsible for recruitment of faculty members and maintaining broad faculty trained in all areas of otolaryngology/head and neck surgery. He is responsible for the clinical activities of all practitioners within the department through the appropriate delineation of clinical privilege and the regular review and evaluation of each practitioner's performance and provides opportunities for faculty development in education, research and clinical practice. He is also the Chairman of Otolaryngology at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center Jeffrey P. Schonberg, M.D. Jeffrey P. Schonberg, M.D. is a senior attending at Evanston,Glenbrook and Highland Park Hospitals. In addition, he is a clinical instructor of otolaryngology through Northwestern University Medical School. A board-certified otolaryngologist, Dr. Schonberg completed his residency training at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and subsequently completed a fellowship in laryngology and voice disorders at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. |
