This day-long workshop introduces practices you can use to find and maintain a nuanced and powerful voice that reflects who you are and is emotionally connected to character. Diane Robinson is a certified Fitzmaurice Voicework teacher, and has a 30-year background in performing, directing, dialect coaching and teaching theater. She has been working with transgender clients on voice and speech since 2013. She can help you set your voice and speech goals and give you ways to work towards them. The workshop provides a welcoming, culturally-competent space where you can take risks, share challenges and things that work, experience guided explorations of foundational theater voice and speech practices specific to your challenges, and come away with a wealth of resources. The workshop will be offered on sliding scale. RSVP or send inquiries to Diane at firstname.lastname@example.org.
